So that I am sure I am ordering the correct product, this is the shock that holds up the back windshield correct? NOT the bottom half "gate" where the outside tires is located. I am confused because it says "liftgate" and passenger and driver side usable. When my shock is only on the passenger side.

Fall, The Crown Automotive Liftgate Shock is correct and will fit your TJ. The TJ's normally came with two liftgate shocks so you may be missing one. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
