Hi Rick! At a bare minimum you'll need to pull the oil pan. Once you have the oil pan down, you should be able to see if/how the seal installs. At this point you will either be able to install the seal, or you'll need to go a bit further and possibly remove the transmission and rear drive train. In either case, it isn't going to be a quick DIY job.

As we do not know your specific application, exact details cannot be explained. What we can say is that the process is not something that should be attempted if you don't have a good knowledge of engine rebuilding, the Rear Main Seal will require the engine to be separated from the transmission for proper installation. We recommend you have a trained and certified mechanic install this part.
