Replacing my existing blower motor resistor fixed my issue of the lower blower speeds not working. The part fit was exact. The replacement took 15-20 minutes.
Just like Factory
mounting holes do not match, and the electrical connector is different than what is on my 2004 Wrangler X. I would have expected more after selecting the year and model. Even the part stated that the part fits my model. I will be trying to get my money back, probably not as it is an electrical part.
what do i do as a precaution before i install a blower motor resistor

Frank, the Heater Blower Motor Resistor is as simple to change as removing the old one and putting the new one in. Hope this helps!

Where is this located on my 2001 Jeep Wrangler, and how do I get to it
Asked by Ben from LR AR on
Ben, the blower motor resistor is located under the dash on the passenger side of the Jeep. You should be able to see it by the blower. It shouldn't take but 10 minutes to change.
