Hi Toll, This Crown Automotive Replacement Alternator is for standard v-belt, not the serpentine pulley. The CJ listings for those year applications are v-belt. Thank you for question.

My current alternator is 81 amps, can I replace it with a 117? Or should I? Would that jack up everything or be good?

Hello, The Crown Automotive Replacement Alternator with 117 amps will work just fine with your Jeep. The higher amperage is designed to compensate to run after market radios and other electronics, Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
