The only hood lock that will open with your Jeep key, BOLT Receiver Locks feature a automotive grade cylinder with patented 6 plate-tumbler sidebar to prevent picking and bumping and a stainless steel lock shutter to keep out dirt and moisture.
locks hood & no more hood flutter! Had to buy A long handle pop rivet gun .
Very easy to install, you need a pop rivet gun for 1/4" pop rivets that's all. Now all locks open with one key, receiver hitch pin, trailer coupler lock pin, and padlocks are all keyed to same ignition key thanks to Bolt. They need to make a gas cap key.
Great fit in factory location using ignition key at half the price of similar Mopar product. Now I feel more secure with my supercharger and as a side benefit at freeway speed hood no longer want to pop open.
What size are the pop rivets for the hood lock.

Cuda, unfortunately the Bolt Lock Hood Lock manufacturer does not list that information. Thanks for the question!

Does the lock have to closed to get the key out? In other words, is the hood always locked or can you lock it just when you want to?
Asked by John from on
John, the BOLT Lock Hood Lock is always locked. Once the latch is closed the hood locks. Hope this helps!
