Bilsteins shock bodies are precision formed through a unique seamless extrusion process. This provides superior strength along with high finish tolerances that are usually associated with surgical instruments. The finished body is then mated with a solid, induction hardened steel chrome plated and polished shaft, machined valving components and highest quality seals. Combined with extreme attention to detail, Bilstein provides you with the closest thing to a hand built shock available today. Limited lifetime warranty.
The front shocks are difficult to install and require special tools, but this is not a fault of the shock itself. They are direct replacements, and definitely tightened up the ride for me. The Jeep tracks much more accurately. The fronts did not make as much difference for me as replacing the rears did, which was like night and day. The fronts raised the front end up almost one inch from its previous level.
