Bestop Windshield Channels

I have a 89 yj, will the channel for the soft work with this,or do you have to remove and will the channel work with the soft top, OE from 2008? Thanks, Craig

Hi Just Craig, This Bestop Windshield Channel in Black is for the soft tops and bikini tops used on Jeeps through the '95 models, it can't be used on an '08 model. Thank you for your inquiry.

Will this quick detach windshield header also work with your safari style top? Also why do I need this product if I already had a softop on my 1998 wrangler?

Hi Berville Badger, This Bestop Quick Detach Windshield Header in Black is designed to attach the Safari and shorter bikini tops to the Jeep TJ windshield frame, it's a unique channel for these tops that is different than the header that holds on an OEM top. Thank you for your inquiry.

Fell in love with Jeep riding a year ago and now have an 06 Wrangler Rubicon with a hard top. Want to go to a bikini top for the summer. My selection of tops requires this quick detach header installation and I want to know if this header must be removed for re installation of my hardtop?
