Hi Joe! The only difference in these two bumpers is the color. BST42901 uses a textured gloss black powdercoat finish, and BST44901 uses a matte black powdercoat finish.

What is the winch mounting bolt pattern on this bumper? Will the Smittybuilt XRC8 winch bolt directly to it?

Mike the mounting holes on this Bestop HighRock 4x4™ Front Bumper is a 10" x 4.5". That will also be the same on the Smittybilt winch and most winches under 12,000 lbs.
