Banks' Heavy-Duty Stainless Steel Monster Exhaust system cuts back pressure up to 98% and flows up to 176% better than stock. The streamlined intermediate pipe and tailpipe are formed of stainless, heavy-wall tubing with constant-diameter bends to maximize airflow and lower exhaust gas temps.
So I installed this in my driveway, took maybe 1.5 hrs with the majority of that in removing the skid for better access and cutting the old exhaust out. Bolts in perfectly, no trimming or modifications necessary as with some of the cheaper exhaust systems Ive installed through the years. Note this is a glasspack muffler, and sounds accordingly. I dont remember if it says so or not in the description, but after a few days I noticed some fiberglass collected in the tip. Nice rumble at idle and great sound around town, people turn their heads if you stay in the throttle.. But not enough drone at highway speeds to irritate, between the tire noise, soft top flap and stereo blaring is barely noticeable. Does it increase performance? Most likely not, at least not that Ive noticed. Sound great and makes me smile when it starts up? Heck yeah!
In the picture of this system, it shows a straight thru slash cut tip that I prefer, but in the third question asked about this system the answer given included that it had a turn down tip. My question is, "Is the tip as pictured,or is a turn down tip?"
