The Banks Ram-Air Intake System delivers exceptional airflow and air density. Its large lifetime air filter requires fewer cleanings than competitive filters. With its giant outlet, streamlined components and enclosed cold-air box that keeps hot engine air out of the intake, the Ram-Air flows up to 66% better than stock. Improves power and MPG while lowering exhaust gas temperatures. Banks' unique 5 bellows accommodates engine movement, preventing component damage and prolonging service life. Designed to not cause fault or error codes; lifetime warranty on filter element. Unlike our competitors, Banks doesn't just build-and-ship. Our Ram-Airs are triple validated before the name Banks is stamped on. We test; they don't. That's the Banks difference!
Easy to install, about 45 minutes. Removing the AIT was the most troublesome part. Owner's Manual, Section 2, Installation: Most of the photo illustrations are too dark, blacked out in fact. Thank goodness for YouTube. I noticed an immediate difference. Faster acceleration and a great sound. Too early to determine MPG advantage.
My only negative is that you can smell the plastic getting warm for the first few days and my entire engine compartment seems to be warmer, but not reading hot on the gauges, than with the stock intake.
Simple upgrade that works and provides performance highly recommend
Is the filter for this intake a dry filter or does it have to be oiled?
Asked by Gibby Crew from Santa Clarita, Ca on
Hey Gibby, the Banks Power Ram-Air Intake System is a oil filter system. Thanks for your question.

This seems to be the more popular intake but i was leaning towards a more enclosed protected filter due to concerns of being more vulnerable to hydrolocking my engine in deep water with an open filter. Is this a valid concern for that type of wheeling or would I be no worse off than stock?
Asked by Juan Tijuana Tornado Encarnacion from Farmington NY on
Hi Juan tijuana tornado encarnaction if you are going to be wheeling alot in water i would go with a snorkel kit. If you dont go in to much water u will be fine with running the Banks Power Ram-Air Intake System. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Thanks,
