Auburn Gear's differentials are produced from design to production in their 250,000 sq. ft. plant in Auburn, Indiana. Auburn Gear has been in the manufacturing business in the United States for 60 years. Before making differentials for Jeeps, Auburn Gear manufactured for the busing, aerial lift, agricultural, mining, forest, marine and heavy construction industries. In addition to the plant itself, Auburn Gear's property includes 44 acres. So when they design differentials, they actually install them in Jeeps and then drive them around the trails on their own property to see how they perform.
