Getting into your truck should not feel like climbing Mount Everest. that is why AMP Research invented POWERSTEP, the automatic, electric-powered running board that instantly extends when you open your door, and then hides itself safely out of sight when the doors close for improved ground clearance, aerodynamics and appearance. Its handsome design, all-weather performance and legendary reliability set the industry standard. Ditto its industry-leading 5-year/60,000-mile warranty.
Bought my jeep with big tires .. wife had a hard time getting in .. carried a small step stool so she could manage. Bought and installed these. Now it's a piece of cake. we're in our 60's and I expect that if I have this jeep when I get to 90, I'll still be able to get in.
Does this or any power step come in 12" depths? Or at least larger than this particular PowerStep? This may not be too aesthetically pleasing; However, being able to put one's entire two feet on it with a little room to spare is more comfortable for the elderly jeep fan/driver! Thanks.

Hello Jeep for the Elder, Unfortunately they do not offer a AMP-Research PowerStep Running Boards in a 12 inch width. Ive done a little looking around online and could find any other manufacturer with a wider step. I apologize.

Hello, the AMP-Research PowerStepT Running Boards have a motor and brackets on each step and a transmitter that is hooked up to the door. When the door is opened the transmitter sends a signal to the motor and the step is dropped down to enter the Jeep. When the door is shut the transmitter signals the motor and the step is liftted up and out of the way. Thank you!
