These pre-filters are also perfect for use in harsh dusty environments. By filtering and keeping much of the dirt from the DryFilter air filter an AEM pre-filter wrap helps to extend the length of time between DryFlow air filter cleanings. They stop small dirt particles yet they add little restriction to the air flow of your filter.
what does 'adding limited restriction' mean?

Aem Dryflow Pre-Filters are designed to protect your air filter without negatively affecting performance. While an additional filter will always restrict airflow to some degree, this pre-filter is designed to keep air restriction to a minimum, and flow at a maximum.

Hey, if I purchase the AEM Brute Force Air Induction system do i need to buy this?
Asked by Kyle O! from Spokane, WA on
Kyle, if you like the mud and water I would say yes you need a Aem Dryflow Pre-Filter. The intake has a Dryflow synthetic filter and this will keep the mud and water from soaking into the filter. It is also one more layer of protection to keep the dirt out.

Back in the 1990s, AEM introduced the first standalone programmable engine management that was plug and play and used a stock Jeep wiring harness and sensors. And AEM has been innovating ever since. They were the first to bring to market a gauge interface with a wideband air/fuel controller. Based in Hawthorne, California, the team at AEM are all avid racers themselves and their ongoing innovation stems from its own employees wanting high performance products at an affordable price. AEM is committed to continued innovation and putting the needs of Jeep drivers first and we're proud to carry their numerous products. Shop AEM Now
