Kit fits 1976-79 T-150 (1980-86) SR-4, T-4, T-5, and T-176/177 Jeep CJ transmissions. Transmission requires new 6 cylinder input shaft part #81314. For use with 1957-95 Chevy V8s and 4.3 V6. No driveline modifications required. The nose cone on the starters will have to be changed to # 1984097 168 nose cone. This bellhousing depth is 6.625. Kit includes: bellhousing, 2 special pilot bushings, dust cover plate and mounting hardware. This kit requires use of stock GM 168 or 153 tooth car flywheel. Other parts needed: 10-1/2 or 11 conversion disc and clutch cover assembly and part #614038 release bearing. This requires 1980-83 GM 4 cylinder slave cylinder and hose when using hydraulic clutch control system.
Advance Adapters got its start in Downey, California in 1971 with a single adapter mating a Muncie car 4-speed to a Jeep Dana 18 transfer case. Eventually headers, overdrives, motor mounts and linkage brackets were added to the offerings to complement their core adapter components. When interest in rock crawling spiked in the mid-1990s, Advance Adapters offered low ratio transmission swaps then switched gears into the ultra-low gear transfer case arena.
