Would the Smittybilt Overlander Roof Top tent work with this rack?

Asked by Surfer19 from Murrieta, CA on

Hello Surfer19, The Garvin Industries Overhead Expedition Rack for JK Wrangler Unlimited will work great with the Smittybilt Overlander Roof Top Tent. Thanks for the inquiry.

Answered by Adam from Murrieta, CA on

How high does the rack go when tilted back? I was planning on getting a Lange hoist to help taking off my Unlimited hard top, I obviously need enough clearance with the garage ceiling (I think I have about 13-14 feet). Since the rack tilts back, it seems awkward to remove the back part of the hard top. How does Garvin recommend removing the top?

Asked by Bob from Charlotte, NC on

Hello Bob, The Garvin Industries Overhead Expedition Rack for JK Wrangler Unlimited tilts back so you can remove the top even with 13 to 14 feet we will be cutting it close. I was unable to get a hold of Garvin Industries due to the holiday weekend but if you can give us a call on monday we can get some more info for you.
