Wanted to use them on the stock carrier with 35"s until I could get an after market tire carrier. Took a while to twist them into the hole but finally got them in. When I was mounting the tire on the carrier (which was mounted on an AEV Pintler wheel), the bump stops tore in two.
Didn't change the vibration of the spare tire.
The price was right and the shipping turnaround was quick. (I'll definitely use 4wd.com again.) However, this product was a dud, having 2 main flaws: 1. The plastic plug is too big for the hole in the tailgate. Because it's quite hard and spiral shaped (vs just smooth like the factory bumpstop), it's not easily shaved to fit. 2. The foam is flimsy. If for some reason you do decide to gamble on this product, be careful to trim it short enough. Otherwise, if you jam your spare up against it, it'll bend and tear in an instant.
what is the length of these bump stops
