My Rock Hard front bumper is less than a year old and covered in rust can I expect the same with this one?

Asked by Dan from Utah on

We haven't run into any issues with these bumpers. In fact, a few of our employees run Rock Hard bumpers and really like them. Here in the rust belt, we find that wiping the bumper down with WD-40, or a similar product, after each washing really keeps the bumper looking brand new. Thanks!

What does class 2 mean? the size of reciever? 2in or 1 3/4?

Asked by N/A from Haughton,La. on

Hello! Class ratings on receiver hitches are the measurement of how much weight the bumper or tow hitch can support. In this case, this bumper/tire carrier is a Class II hitch, which means the trailer hitch has a weight-carrying rating of up to 3,500 lbs gross trailer weight and 300/350 lbs tongue weight. The hitch hole is a 2" receiver hole.

ok so i have heard that this bumper rust really bad after the first year but i have hear nothing els bad about it. i was just woundering if you guys hear good fed back on this bumper or if any of you guys run it and like it?

Asked by from on

I haven't seen any problems with rust on these bumpers. One of the sales guys here has this on his JK for the last 2 years and it still looks and functions great. We are in the north east Ohio rust belt. Rock hard makes a real quality product and you shouldn't have and issues and get years of use out of this bumper.
