i have a 1983 cj7 with a chevy 350. the key got stuck in the ignition switch so we used pliers for a while in place of the ignition. now where the ignition attaches to the steering column is all chewed up. can't get the new ignition switch to work. is there a repair kit or a replacement part rather than a new steering column. I'm having a hard time finding a used steering column for my jeep,or is there a comparable steering column that might be easier to locate? any info will be awesome.
