Hey Newbie, the Skyjacker 2 Inch Poly Value Lift Kit with Hydro Shocks would allow you to go to a 265/70/17 tire with no issues. Thanks for your question.

whats the difference in ride or off roading between hydro and nitro shocks
Asked by kat from abilene ks on
In general, hydro (hydraulic) shocks will feel a bit softer and give you a somewhat smoother ride on a daily driver. Nitro shocks tend to be stiffer, however they usually last longer and perform better in off-road situations. Nitro shocks are charged with nitrogen, which keeps air bubbles under control when things start to heat up off-road, effectively reducing shock fade. I hope this information is helpful, thanks!
