Wouldn't stay put

No matter how hard I turned the nob the mirror would come loose at 60 MPH. It was harder to get the mirrors off as well after cranking down on the nobs. The circle mirrors did not look as good with the box style of the jeep.

Great Product, Sort of.....

Let me start by saying I really love these mirrors. They are super easy to install, once you have the right hardware. My kit came with coarse threaded screws instead of the required M8x1.25 screws needed. After a trip to the hardware store all is good.

Perfect look with tube half doors

Purchased for 2013 Wrangler Sport 4 door. Factory mirrors on the Rugged Ridge tube half doors looked goofy. So, I put them back on the factory doors and added these to the windshield frame. Perfect look, 10 minute install, very durable. Holds adjustment well and no highway vibration. High enough and big enough for an easy view. One whistles slightly, no worries, turn up the radio.

Keepin' It Legal!

The passenger side mirror is not magnified and so visibility with it is restricted but I'm legal and they look great!

I like them

I like them, they are exactly what I was looking for and at a price that was reasonable. I like that the arms are fairly adjustable, but it seems to me you want the arms to go up more than they go out like these do. They do whistle, I'll fiddle around with them to knock that out, but it seems a design shortcoming that a .02 cent bolt cover would have solved and made it a better product.

A bit of a pain

These were a quick 5 minute install, and they work like they're supposed to. I've had them for about two months or so and they become more of a pain each time I use them. The driver side bolt must be stripped, since it feels almost impossible to tighten, and it needs to be tighter than the passenger side to prevent the wind from folding them. When I first got them they whistled. I used some silicon sealer I had left over from the shower to seal the plastic edge to the metal frame and now they're quiet. They should have been quiet from the factory. Now I'm looking at simple mirror relocators.

Quick & Easy to install

Most people aren't aware that laws state you must have one outside mirror that provides 200 ft vision behind your vehicle. On that note you have a few options, leave your doors on, brake the law or add these mirrors. When not in use the mounting brackets don't interfere with your stock mirrors.

What is exactly included in the kit for $40.99? Two mirrors and two brackets with all the hardware included? Thanks

Asked by Will from Ohio on

Will, The Rugged Ridge Quick Release Mirror Relocation Kit comes with both mirrors, the arms for the mirrors and all necessary hardware. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

Will the mounting brackets scratch my paint? I do not want any permanent modifications to my Jeep.

Asked by Sailflight from on

Hello! These mirrors require removing to existing windshield hinge bolts and replacing them with the included bolts to mount the brackets. Should you decide to remove the mirror brackets, simply replace the kit bolts with the original factory bolts. No drilling or permanent modifications are required. Installed properly, these brackets will not scratch or scuff your Jeep's finish.

Answered by Aaron S. from on

If I mount these mirrors to my vehicle, will I need to remove them, if I put my full steel doors back on, or will they swing out of the way?

Asked by SSG Spurge from Augusta, GA on

Hello! These Rugged Ridge Quick Release Relocation Mirrors bolt on to the side of the windshield hinges. They have a spin off knob on them so when you put the factory doors back on all you have to do is spin the knobs loose and pull the mirrors off. The bracket stays on the hinge. The mirrors will fold forward or back if you loosen the knobs. Thank you!
