Hi, Not sure if you can help me, but I'm trying to find out exactly where the neutral safety switch is, so my husband can replace it. My husband has never heard of, or seen this part before. If there happens to be a diagram or break down some where that would be great. So far, we have been told it is in the transmission, but there are several parts to a transmission. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Kelly! Yes, the Neutral Safety Switch is in the transmission. You have to take the transmission pan off, pull the filter out. Then you will see the Valve body of the transmission. There you will find a bunch of different sensors with electrical wire plugs on them. You will just have to look for the one sensor that looks like the one you will purchase to replace the bad one. There will be only the one that looks like it. The rest of the sensors are different looking. Should be located towards the back of the transmission valve body. I don't have a diagram this is the best i can do for you, otherwise you may want to go to a transmission shop and have it done and get a fluid flush and new filter also. Thank you!
