Good afternoon - a few questions. My 98 Wrangler is 95% road used for light towing (less than 2000 lbs) and is set up to tow behind a motorhome. This is a first time lift kit install-I'm a good shade tree mechanic and the instructions look ok. I like the simplicity of the 1.5" to install. 1) what are the differences between the es3000 and mx6 shocks - i see several hundred in cost - what else. 2) Should I lower the trans with the 1.5" lift. 3) should I modify the steering? 4) Any other advise or parts needed????

You are correct, this is a simple kit to install on your Jeep. The difference between the ES3000 and MX6 shocks are vast! Let’s start with the MX6, it is an adjustable shock with 6 different valving selections, changes can be made with the simple twist of a knob. So if you put these on your Jeep and you don’t like the way it rides on the road you can soften the ride by turning the knob. They are really cool shocks that give you a lot of adjustment to really dial your Jeep in. The ES3000 are an entry level shock that will ride similar to stock, they have no adjustability and they are valved for the masses. With this kit you will not need to lower your transmission or transfer case, the steering will be fine and no other modification is needed to successfully install and enjoy this suspension. Again this is a simple kit to install, if you have basic mechanical abilities this will be a breeze. Just take your time and enjoy it once it’s done. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Thanks
