Because we work within the factory design, there are not a bunch additional modifications involved that adds complexity and expense to the kit. Everything needed is included in the kit
  • there's everything you need and nothing you don't. If there are extra items required, such as longer shocks, its clearly stated in the application description. Daystar Lift Kits provide both front and rear lift in the 2" to 3" range. Front lift is generally the same as with our leveling kits, while rear lift comes in the form of rear coil spring spacers, longer shackles, add-a-leafs, or a block and U-bolt kit. Which method used is spelled out in the application description. Daystars Lift Kits are the perfect solution for gaining ground clearance and the room to step up a few tire sizes...Do your homework and you'll see that we've done ours!

Hello, I just wanted to make sure that these spacers can be used to lift my Jeep slightly WITHOUT needing to buy shocks separately. Hoping to use these in combo with some 30" tires to improve my off-roading capabilities just a little. I've got a '98 TJ that's still totally stock, and I don't wanna put TOO much money into such an older Jeep. Thanks!

Hello Ashley! The answer to your question is yes and no. We don't really recommend doing this configuration on an OEM set of shocks. The amount of travel you are going to lose in an already limited travel shock may be noticeable during normal road driving. We would recommend that you get a shock for 2" of lift to compensate for the increased ride height. With all of this out of the way, what I would do if I were you is to purchase the coil spacers and see how your ride is. If you aren't satisfied with how your shocks are performing, you can upgrade those later on. Hope this info helps!
