PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Most aftermarket Rear Bumpers require oversized spare tires to be relocated upward to avoid contact with the bumper. Our oversized tire mount replaces the stock tire mount and provides the adjustment need to fit slightly oversized tires. This is a less expensive alternative to purchasing a complete bumper and swingout kit. Our tire mount also includes the ability to add an optional third brake light #HYL075.000.100. The recommended maximum tire size for the TJ & YJ models is up to a 33 inch diameter tire. There are two sets of precut bolt hole patterns, which include 4.5 inch and 5.5 inch. The tire mount is constructed using 3/16 inch thick steel and includes a fully welded gusset to prevent the bracket from any possible failure. All Tire Mounts are E-Coated and then top coated with a durable smooth black powder coating. This bracket is required to use with Hyline Off-road #HYL250.200.100 if mounting an oversized tire. Image is for illustrative purposes only, the third brake light mounted in the center of the tire mount is sold separately. #HYL075.000.100

Economical but Sturdy Spare Mount

This is a great, economical product to mount lighter-weight 33x15x12.50 Goodyear Duratrac on MB Wheel spare tire and it's made in the USA. Folks at Hyline Offroad are quick to respond to answering questions and even provided detailed drawing dimensions when I was concerned about clearances. Powder-coat is top-notch and mounts easily. You have to install the tire studs yourself before mounting the bracket by laying the spare tire-wheel on the bracket and tightening up the lug nuts to pull the studs up into place. I'd prefer these to have been pressed in already since one of mine didn't go in quite as straight as I'd have liked. However, it does work. Also, I think I'll try adding some spacers to the stock spare tire rubber pads so they're again pressed up against the spare tire to keep it from shaking when closing the tail gate. Overall, excellent, simple product with a price that can't be beat as long as your spare tire-wheel isn't too heavy.
