This is my second top in 7 years! The zippers wore out on the first one, from multiple time of taking the top off an on. But that is to be expected. But well worth the money. They take a lot of beating in the wind, and I have probably 80,000 miles on the the last top! On an 85 degree day this top went on in 15 minutes! Lines up perfectly with my original factory hardware! Good stuff!
Top works good, but a bit loose. I also purchased adjustable spreader bars to replace my old ones, and this could be why it's loose. The top is very quiet going 55+ mph, and windows are crystal clear. Almost looks like I have my hard top on!
I have a 91 yj, i am new to the jeep world, but i know my top needs replaced. the current top says its a best top, the front slides into a window channel and has a fold up/down support frame for the top. My jeep has 1/2 doors. will this top fit my current config?

Hi bricknut, This Bestop Replace-a-Top with Tinted Windows fits the original framework the Jeep had new, the easiest way to verify your Jeep has OEM hardware is above the doors it should be snaps, however if it's felcro instead that's an aftermarket top. Thanks for your inquiry.

HOW CAN I TELL IF I HAVE FACTORY HARDWARE? ANYTHING IN PARTICULAR I SHOULD BE LOOKING AT?
Asked by ROCH1639 from ORLANDO, FL on
Hi Roch If there are 5 snaps that hold the top to the bar that goes from the windshield frame back that would be factory hardware and also if the rear corner on the upper door frames are squared off that would also be factory hardware. If the rear corner is rounded or the top is held to that bar with Velcro it would be after market hardware. Thanks

I have a 1994 wrangler the top is less than a year old and the fit from tne windsheild and first brace is very loose and when it rains holds a bucket of water looks like a bid egg from the inside. is there any thing that can be done to fix this??
Asked by lloydsjeep from covington louisiana on
Hi Lloyds You might want to make sure the windshield frame is in the proper position for the tension on the top. I was not able to find the factory measurement but the super top measurement is 75 1/4 inch on the angle from the windshield frame to the tailgate. Also make sure the hardware is factory style hardware and not for a different top. Thanks
