The kit itself is complete to solve the dreaded rattle at idle. I did not change the two linkage bearings (black) or use the self taping screws that came with the kit. The stock 10mm bolts came out just fine so I reused them and the black bushings were fine on the linkage so I reused them too. I kept the new parts in case I need them somewhere down the road. When removing the torque shaft from the transmission mount, the green bushing came out with the shaft. For the life of me I could not get the new green bushing to snap into the trans bracket. I tried many tricks to no avail. When you reinstall the torque shaft into the green bushing there is no way it is going to fall out so I am not worried about it. The rest of the kit (bronze bushing and rubber components) seal the bronze bushing well. There is a spring in the rubber boot that applies pressure to the torque shaft. Check that 4wd hi and low work and enjoy no more rattles.
Hello, I was wondering and hoping that this item will fix my linkage that keeps popping out every time I put it in to 4wheel drive. I have a 2001 jeep cherokee 5spd. Does this product work for manuals and also the main problem is the bushing that is broke which is making it pop out each time I use my 4wheel drive shifter. Thank you,

Hello Lucas, This kit should be just what you need to fix your problem. I had the same problem with one of my vehicles. Everything you need to fix that problem is in there.

Hello, This is the repair kit which includes the bushings and brackets that have bushings built in. It does not include the whole linkage assembly. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask, Thank you.

Is this for the automatic transmission linkage from the steering column to the transmission? If not what is?

Hello, yes this is for the automatic lower linkage that's on the frame and the transmission. Does not include the linkage it's self. Thank you!
