The all new and improved Johnny Joint trac bar for the TJ/XJ/LJ/MJ features an offset Johnny Joint rod end that puts the bar further forward providing more clearance between the diff and the trac bar. Other features include 1 1/4" x .250 wall 4130 chrome moly construction, a welded in gusset from the bar to the Johnny Joint, heavy duty adjustor end with urethane bushing and steel insert sleeve, and semi-gloss black powder coat finish. Some drilling is required for installation. The supplied frame bolt is a 5/8", and the supplied housing bolt is 1/2". Both of these holes must be drilled to size to accommodate the heavier duty hardware. A heavy duty nut plate kit is supplied for the housing end.

Great Heavy Duty

Very good product. Easy to install. Did not fix my death wobble but is much more solid than the RE track bar that I replaced. Very satisfied customer.

What is the difference between the Currie 9120TJJ and the 9120TJS track bars?

Asked by Chuck from Hopewell, PA on

Hi Chuck, This Currie front trac bar that ends with the TJJ is made of chrome Moly steel, the one ending with TJJ is not. Thanks for the inquiry!

I currently have the rough country adjustable TB on my 98 TJ. It hits the diff cover and as I understand it, I need to add bump stop to keep it from hitting. I don't want to do that. Will this Currie setup require the same? Will it clear the diff cover?

Asked by Chad from United States on

Hey Chad, with this track bar you will not have that same issue. I hope this answer helps and earns your business. Thanks for your question

What is the minimum distance between mounting holes on this track bar? I am hoping to use this track bar on a jeep that has a modified steering setup and the mounting locations for the track bar have been relocated. Thanks

Since 1959, Corona, California-based Currie Enterprises has been currying favor with Jeep enthusiasts by manufacturing suspension systems and accessories, driveline parts and steering components that withstand grueling off-road conditions. With the rise in interest in off-roading in the 1970s, the company focused its attention on trucks and Jeeps, specifically rearends. Replacing worn out or damaged suspension parts like leaf spring bushings goes a long way toward improving off-road performance and Currie's specialty products exceed expectations. Addressing the needs of a variety of Jeep models, Currie is the right choice when you want to lift your Jeep, upgrade the steering or take the guesswork out of making a safe mounting. Shop Currie Now
