I have an 85 CJ-7 with a 350 Chevy engine conversion. I want to upgrade my steering box to the Super Box 2. So two questions: 1. Would the stock power steering pump on a standard 350 Chevy be compatible and have enough pressure for the Super Box 2. 2. Is the AGR power steering pump bolt on compatible to a 350 Chevy? or does AGR make one that is a 350 bolt on.

Asked by 85Renegade from VA on

Hello 85Renegade, The AGR Super Box 2 will work with your factory pump. However it does not put out as much pressure as the Super Pump. You should have no problem using the Superpump for your Chevy engine since AMC used Chevy pumps. Thanks for the inquiry.

I have a 1984 CJ-7 I want to replace the steering gear box with AGR262357, do I need to replace the power steering pump also?

Asked by no nickname from Douglasville, GA on

Hey No Nickname, you would need to do the AGR pump also to get the right pressure to the AGR box. Thanks for your question.
