Two pieces are not always better than one! In Jeep axles this is especially true.
Moser Engineering (M/E) manufactures the strongest and easiest to install direct replacement kit for Jeeps that includes one-piece forged, induction hardened axles, installed studs, installation instructions, and hi-quality Timken bearings. Not only is this kit easy to use, but it is inexpensive, strong, requires very little shimming, and best of all does not leak. Made in the USA. All our axles are forged and machined in the USA using US steel.
Will this product fit a Jeep 1985 CJ-7, 4.2L 6 cyl, manual transmission?

Jimmy, the Moser Engineering AMC Model 20 CJ Wide Trac One-Piece Axle Kit is made for Jeep CJ's with the Widetrac AMC 20 rear axle. So, as long as your Jeep has that axle, which judging by the year it should. Then you'll be just fine with this kit. Hope this helps!
