Hedman Hedders' Engine swap and Specialty hedders make engine transplants much easier and more effective by designing hedders that are routed to Prevent interference with body and chassis components. Engine swap and specialty hedders virtually eliminate the need to bend or kink your new header, which will reduce the power production capabilities of your new performance exhaust hedders.
Installed these on my '79 CJ7 and ran a custom 2.5" exhaust through 18" glass packs coming out in front of each rear tire. It sounds like a V8 even though it is a mostly stock I6. I replaced the carb with a motorcraft 1.08 at the same time and power and driveability went through the roof, gas mileage increased by about 2mpg and the engine will idle at about 200rpm without begining to stall if the idle screw is backed all the way out (due to a decrease in backpressure?). I have put about 7k miles on the jeep since installing them about a year ago and they are holding up great.
would like to know what is the outside DIA of the reducers so i can adapT the mufflers and pipes, Thanks JM

The collector size on these headers is 2-1/2 inches. You'll need a connector of the same size to join the headers to the rest of the exhaust system.
