The Ohio 4WD Jamboree in 2013 was full of fun competitions and vendors jeepers love

The 2013 Ohio 4WD Jamboree Jeep Parade was a big hit.

On a brisk September weekend with spectators, participants, food, refreshments, and prizes, Columbiana, Ohio hosted the 15th Annual 4Wheel Drive Hardware 4WD Jamboree. This yearly bonanza took place September 27 and 28, and was enjoyed by a vast crowd during this memorable two-day sojourn.

The Show Off Your Jeep Events Were Big

The event began at 9 that Friday morning with the Showroom, vendor exhibits, and food concessions open at the Columbiana 4WD location near State Route 14. There were special deals and giveaways. Also provided were tire and wheel specials with up to 20 percent discounts off select parts. The festivities also featured a live DJ, Jeep trivia, and prizes for those in attendance. As the evening came at five o’clock, everyone was treated to the Jeep Cruise in the 4WD parking lot. Concurrently, for others, there was a Jeep parade. The vehicles lined up at 5PM and the parade began at 6PM. The Friday festivities ended at 8PM.

Saturday marked the closing day of activities. For those in attendance, the day began at eight o’clock, then got really rolling starting at 9AM. From that point on, people were treated to the Mud Pit and Rock Crawl and Obstacle Course. “The obstacle course this year was really top notch,” said 4WD Web Specialist Jason Layne.

“Even with the limited space we had to work with, we added three new rock sections, some hills, and off-camber stuff.” he continued. “Just big enough to give some pucker factor. As for the mud pit…It’s a pit with mud you drive through. What’s not to love? I heard nothing but positive comments (from participants) about the entire set up.”

As the nighttime came, the Show-n-Shine event took place with the winners announced at six o’clock. One of the victorious prize winners was Daniel Walsh who won a $250.00 Club Rewards Gift Card. Come 6:30PM, there was the Grand Prize Drawing immediately followed by the 4Wheel Drive Shopping Spree.
