Stock Jeeps have a slip yoke style output shaft at the rear driveline. This design is not conducive to off road use nor the steeper operating angles caused by suspension lifts. To ensure smooth and durable driveline operation, convert to a fixed yoke output and install a CV drive shaft (style RE1898). A must on all lifts over 3.5 inch. This kit requires the modification of your stock output shaft. Drill and tap included for easy installation. Drive flange is machined from solid Stainless Steel for extreme strength and corrosion resistance.
The design that most stock Jeeps have of placing the slip yoke style output shaft at the rear driveline isn’t optimal for certain types of off-roading including rock crawling and climbs with steep angles caused by suspension lifts. The solution? A capable transfer case slip yoke eliminator kit provides silk smooth, sturdy driveline action. Larger lifts benefit from these kits that are made by top manufacturers including Rubicon Express, Advance Adapters and Rugged Ridge. Some modification to stock output shafts and mode fork shift rails may be necessary and kits come with components like seals, bearings, snap rings and bolts to make installation easy.
