Overview

If you have ever removed the hardtop or soft top from your CJ-7 or YJ Wrangler, then you’ve probably noticed that the factory self-tapping screws along the front edge of the top eventually strip out. The Hardtop Reinforcing Kit effectively secures the front edge of the factory hardtop by substituting the 7 self-tapping screws for a rugged, threaded backing strip with stainless steel machine screws. Once installed, the kit does not need to be removed, and switching from hardtop to soft-top is not a problem. The kit does not get in the way, and the reinforcing strips are not visible from inside or outside when either a hardtop or soft top is on. The Soft Top Reinforcing Kit secures the Windshield Channel in place by replacing the self-tapping screws with threaded rivet inserts and stainless steel bolts. Quick and easy to install, these kits include everything you need and detailed instructions.
