This innovative new mounting system lets you mount your CB to the open space just off to the side of your steering wheel. Locating the CB into this gap does not block your vision but allows for easy access to the CB controls. Each mounting bracket installs to existing dash mounts and is custom fit for TJ Wranglers so there is no drilling required. Each mounting bracket also includes an easy to use microphone mounting plate so your CB microphone stays out of the way while driving. CB mounting bracket not included (should be a part of the CB system). Limited three year warranty. Wont work with aftermarket Cage kits.

Comments about Rugged Ridge Side Dash CB Mount Holder:

The Rugged Ridge CB mount looks great and is very sturdy. Fitment isn't perfect, it angles out slightly. Easy install, but the screw for the mic mount is the WRONG size. Placement of the mic mount on the right side of the steering wheel makes the cord get tangled. I flipped my mic mount upside-down and used it on the left side.
Though the mount looks great, I found after a couple weeks that the position is dangerous for my CB. By placing it on the side of the dash the CB is very susceptible to water, dirt, and mud. If I don't have my top strapped down completely and some water leaks in the rain, the CB gets very wet.
This mount will work well for a daily driver that sees an occasional trail ride, but for anyone who runs with their doors off, goes mudding, or has over-sized tires that turn up a lot of dirt, this mount works as a very poor location for your radio.

Comments about Rugged Ridge Side Dash CB Mount Holder:

I am very disappointed with the engineering with this bracket. I had to bend it in two places in order to make it acceptable and it is over built so it was difficult to bend. The problem is that it is a single piece with only one 90 deg bend. The top of it is so large that puts a large amount of pressure on the plastic on your gauge cluster. when you tighten the screws (By the way the screws all have the wrong thread so you will need to use the original. And the original for the mic mount is not long enough so you need to find one that is) down on the side it bends it causing it to bow out at the top towards the door. I had to bend it out just above the mounting screws and then bend the top level. The only good thing is that it is a good idea for the mounting location and the only reason I am keeping it. I would not recommend anything from this company.
