      Hello Pat,
      The departure roller on the Bestop HighRock 4x4 Rear 2" Receiver Hitch Bumper in Black allows the use of their roller. This roller is a wheel that makes contact with high departure angles as the Jeep rolls off of the obsticle. Instead of the bumper contacting the ground and damaging the bumper the roller does.
